(1) Too many of our neighbors do not know this is happening to them nor the material and pocketbook impacts. (2) Gaps pertaining to protections for residents (identified in my public comments for these ordinances) may be planned to be filled in the future; such measures would be communicated during the voting process. Gaps include metrics that may in the works to measure and avoid displacing people from their homes and inadvertently increasing Lakewood's unhoused individuals. (3) The ordinances as written appear to conflict with many of the Envision Lakewood 2040 goals. A voting process would yield communication of how the ordinances fit in with those.
